Women’s Health Collective Canada
BC Women's Health Foundation, the Royal Alexandra Hospital Foundation, and Women's College Hospital Foundation came together with a shared and urgent purpose: to create a national platform to advance women's healthcare, address inequities in funding, research, and care, and speak with one voice on behalf of women's health across Canada.
THE GOAL
The three founding organizations needed to bring a new national brand and digital identity to life, from nothing, and launch it on a date that carried real significance: International Women's Day 2020. The project required two sequential phases, brand development followed by website design and development, each with its own creative agency. What it required above all was someone who could manage the complexity without losing the thread: multiple organizations, multiple agencies, multiple time zones, and a deadline that couldn't move.
THE WORK
Elizabeth served as project lead across both phases, owning discovery, agency briefing, timeline management, feedback loops, and stakeholder approvals from start to finish. At peak, she was coordinating across three partner organizations with two to three points of contact each, plus the creative and web agencies: a matrix of schedules, opinions, and organizational cultures that rarely aligned neatly.
Phase one involved brand strategy, name development, and visual identity with a dedicated brand agency. Elizabeth managed the discovery process, guided stakeholder engagement at all levels of the partner organizations, from senior leadership to communications teams, and shepherded the creative work through rounds of feedback and revision. When the brand was finalized, she managed a clean handoff to the web agency for phase two, keeping timelines intact and ensuring the two bodies of work remained coherent.Throughout, Elizabeth maintained clear and consistent communication across teams operating in different time zones, managing the inherent tension between organizational thoroughness and the fixed launch date.
THE RESULTS
The Women's Health Collective Canada brand and website launched on International Women's Day 2020, on time, and reflecting the imperative that brought the three founding organizations together. The platform has since grown into an active national voice for women's health equity, running campaigns, advocacy initiatives, and research investment programs that address systemic gaps in funding and care.
TESTIMONIAL
"Not only did Elizabeth do a phenomenal job managing briefs, deadlines, and budgets for WHCC deliverables, but she also managed multiple executive-level stakeholders in different time zones seamlessly."
